Today, I have Lacquerhead Polish's jellies I have been raving about recently to show off! I love these polishes a lot, in fact Santa has been asked to provide me with full sizes. :P
Blueberry Yum-Yum is a blue jelly polish with a ultra fine rainbow glitter. All nails are 4 coats with no top coat.
I know 4 coats may seem like a lot of polish, but I do very thin coats so if you don't 2-3 coats would suffice to make it semi-opaque. ;) Even with 4 coats, Blueberry Yum-Yum dried very quickly and was the perfect consistency! As you can tell from the photos this polish is super shiny with no top coat. The color is gorgeous! It reminds me of blueberry jelly on my nails, I doubt blueberry jelly slathered on my nails would look as amazing as this! :P Also, I know it looks semi green on my tips, this is only because my nails are stained pretty badly, I have been slacking on using base coat. Don't think that's the polishes fault, it's mine! :P
Cherry Bomb is listed as a hot pink jelly polish with a ultra fine rainbow glitter. I used 3 coats and no top coat.
Another fantastic formula, yes I will be saying this for all of them because they are all great! I love how the glitter in all of these jellies isn't overpowering, but enough to notice. They are all so shiny without a top coat, it's ridiculous! The color of Cherry Bomb is a lovely pinkish red and reminds me of strawberries.
Orange You Jelly has a orange jelly base and scattered holo glitter. All nails are 3 coats with no top coat. Like I said no top coat need, they are super shiny without it!
The color of Orange You Jelly is beautiful and this is coming from someone who isn't an orange fan. ;) The name makes me giggle every time I read it, too! It reminds me of orange marmalade, anyone else getting hungry by looking at these pictures? :P Surprise, it always had an awesome formula! ;)
Plum Crazy is a vibrant purple jelly with a extra fine holo glitter scattered throughout. I used 3 coats with no top coat.
When I first opened up my package from Lacquerhead Polishes, this was the first jelly polish I saw and I thought "This is for sure my favorite". After opening up the entire package, I couldn't decide because I really love them all! I'm just a sucker for purples no matter what. ;) I used Plum Crazy as a base color to Lacquerhead Polish's Save The Bows (post here) and you can tell with 4 coats instead of 3, it is a little darker. The great thing about these jellies are they can be used as base colors, top coats or you can build them up just to have a great color! The possibilities are endless! :P P.S. Plum Crazy had a perfect formula.
Another combination, layer the jellies over each other! For this manicure, I started with my above nails with 3 coats of Plum Crazy and added 2 coats of Blue Blueberry Yum-Yum to my index nail, 2 coats of Cherry Bomb on my middle finger and 2 coats of Orange You Jelly on my ring nail. I left my pinky nail with just 3 coats of Plum Crazy to show the change in color these jellies can provide. :)
Lacquerhead Polish can be found on etsy here. She now offers cuticle oils, that currently ship free with other products. I'm off to buy one and a bottle of You're The Fruit In My Nutcake. ;) Also, make sure to like Lacquerhead Polish on Facebook here!
