Hard Candy 5 Piece Just Nails Set Holiday 2012 #1

I'm not sure what it is, but when I see holiday sets my mind goes insane. Seriously when hunting down these Hard Candy holiday polish sets awhile ago, my husband and I went to an out of the norm Walmart and it was the gold mind of sets. No joke, at least 8 aisles of them! I think I may have even said "OMG look at all the sets!" as my eyes lit up and I squealed. I have no idea why moderately priced body wash and makeup packed together with shrink wrap turn me into a fangirl, they just do and it's another thing I love about the holidays!
Anyways, this is one of the 2 sets I am giving away here and I though I would show them off before it ends. :) I will have the other set swatched soon.

None of these polishes have names, just numbers and as I found when writing this some of the numbers are same even though the color is not. So I won't be using any names or numbers, just descriptions. This polish is a purple shimmer with pink micro glitter. I used 3 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.
A darker pink with fine silver glitter. All nails are 2 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite. This polish dries semi-matte and with 1 coat of Sech Vite, it still wasn't super shiny so you may want to opt for a 2nd coat if you like your polish to be really shiny. The color is also a little hard to capture and is softer looking in real life.
A simple clear based polish with gold glitter. I used the same purple polish that I started this post with and added 2 coats of this gold polish and no top coat.
This polish has a red base with fine gold flecks. All nails are 2 coats with a top coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. My camera had a hard time picking up this color, in some lights it looks orange and others it look red.
Another simple glitter; a clear base with medium and smaller sized silver hex glitter. I topped the pink polish in this post with 2 coats of this polish and no top coat.

Overall, I am really pleased with this set for it's $5 price tag. The bottles are smaller compared to most minis; OPI's minis are 3.75 mL/.125 Fl. Oz and these polishes are 3 mL/.1 Fl. Oz. Not a lot smaller, but still smaller nonetheless. I believe these are the same or similar colors released last year by Hard Candy in mini sets and smaller singles. See Nouveau Cheap's swatches of the 2011 ones here. Also I think these some of these colors are the polishes released by Hard Candy this year as polish ornaments. I didn't really look for those at stores near me, I was too focused on sets! :X

Hard Candy can be purchased exclusively through Walmart. I don't see this or the other set online and it did take me going to 3 stores to find them, so look around for them! ;) Find Hard Candy on Facebook here.
