Shimmer Polish Reviews & Swatches

I know I usually don't post on Sundays, but I meant to have this up yesterday, between making Jello eggs and pies I just didn't get a chance to. Even though I only used 2 photos per polish, this post is very picture heavy. To cut down on so many photos in one post, I made an album here where you can see additional photos of each polish. Also, my review will be at the bottom of this post, so keep scrolling down! ;)
P.S. Happy Easter!

Candace contains a mixture of black and gold holographic glitters. Except for my middle nail, I used 2 coats of Candace in a gradient over bare nail. My middle nail is 2 coats of Candace over my entire nail, again bare. All nails have a top coat of Seche Vite. (Excuse my stained nails >_< They didn't look that bad in person, but the camera likes to pick up too much sometimes. :P)
Irene is a mixture of various fine colored glitter; mainly composed of champagne gold glitter and a few fine black glitters sprinkled throughout. I used 3 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.
Jasmine has a clear base with aquamarine, light blue and green glitters and a dash of various other colored glitters. All nails are 3 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.
Jennifer is mainly composed of light blue and periwinkle glitters, but also includes orange, pink, green and yellow glitters in various shapes and sizes. I used 2 coat of Jennifer over 2 coats of Pure Ice Last Chance and a top coat of HK Girl Top Coat.
Julie is an rainbow assortment of glitter in various shapes and sizes. All nails are 3 coats over bare nail and a top coat of Seche Vite.
Lucie contains a mixture of red and silver glitters in a clear base. All nails are 3 coats of Wet n Wild L.A. Pride with 1 coat of Lucie and a top coat of Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love.(See un-matted photos in this album)
Maria has a variety of blue glitters in a clear base. I layered Maria over Wet n Wild Fergalicious and top coat of Seche Vite. (I'm not sure why my camera picked up Fergalicious as a red/orange. It's definitely a bright pink!)
Mary is a mixture of red, black and holographic silver glitters in a sheer red base. All nails are 3 coats with a top coat of HK Girl Top Coat.
Nichole has various shapes and sizes of red, blue and silver glitters. Here I layered one coat of Nichole over 2 coats of Sally Girl Coconut with a top coat of Seche Vite.
Sarah contains teal, green, dark blue and purple glitters in a clear base. I layered 2 coats of Sarah over Cosmetic Arts Gray, on all my nails except for my index nail. My index nail is 3 coats over bare nail and all nails have a top coat of Seche Vite.
Overall, I had no issue with any of the polishes. They all had a wonderful formula: dried quickly and obviously no need to fish for glitter. All the polishes could have been opaque in 2-3 coats alone, but still provided the perfect amount of glitter in just 1 coat. There is a variety of different ways to wear each color: layered, alone, gradient, jellied, etc. So go buy a bottle and have fun!

Wet n Wild Fergie Glowstick + Pretty & Polished PHAT Camp

Hooray for Friday! Hopefully everyone has some exciting Easter plans and if not at least some cute Easter nails. ;) This is another post featuring polishes that I've had for awhile and they needed to be shown some love. ;)

Glowstick is a bright green with gold shimmer. I used 2 coats with no top coat.
Glowstick is a perfect name for this polish and you can see why! It is very bright, to say the least, and the shimmer it has is beautiful!
Pretty & Polished PHAT Camp has royal purple shreds, 2 different pink glitters, purple hex glitter, and teal hex glitter. I used 1 coat over Glowstick with a top coat of Seche Vite.
Unfortunately, it looks like this this polish has been discontinued :( It's always the same story when I buy a mini: I wish I would have bought a full size! Maybe one day Pretty & Polished will bring this color back, but I guess for now I will be happy with my my mini and stalk some blog sale hoping someone has a full bottle for sale.

Wet n Wild Fergie polishes can be purchased at local retailers like Walgreens, Walmart and Ulta or online through Wet n Wild's online store. I purchased the mini shown in a set with 5 other polishes for $4.99 at my local Walgreens. Find Wet n Wild on Facebook and Twitter.

Find Pretty & Polished through their webstore. Again PHAT Camp is no longer for sale, but they do make some other great polishes! Follow Pretty & Polished on Twitter and Facebook.

Elevation Polish Muztagh Ata, Mount Cangyan & Sample MH#2

Evening everyone! I have a few polishes from Elevation Polish's View From The Top collection today. I didn't pick up all the ones, but surprise I made sure to grab the blue and purple color from it! :P I also had some luck on my side during her March 7th restock and was able to grab a sample! :D

Muztagh Ata is a denim blue holographic. I used 2 coats with no top coat
In all honesty, I was a little burned out on seeing holographic polishes in similar colors. So it's really nice to see unique colored ones like this! Formula was great and super shiny with no top coat.
Mount Cangyan has a deep purple shimmery base with added red, copper and gold shimmer. All nails are 3 coats with a top coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri.
This polish is really hard to capture! :( It reminds me of a darker, more opaque version of Max Factor Fantasy Fire which I love, so by default I love this too. ;) It does dry with a semi-matte finish, so if you are looking to have it shiny make sure to put a top coat on it. ;)
Sample MH#2 contains dark berry, pink and red glitters in various shapes and sizes and purple heart glitter. I used 2 coats over 2 coats of Elevation Polish Cape Horn and a top coat of Seche Vite.
The heart glitters were a bugger to get out of this, so I only ended up with one. But I do like the glitter mix on it's own and the hearts are just a little added bonus!

Find Elevation Polish for sale through her BigCartel storefront. Be sure to check out Lulu's blog and Flickr, to stay up to date about new colors coming out.

Milani Aqua Splash, Purple Streak, Shady Gray & Spoiled in Fuchsia

I've had these rolling around in my "to swatch drawer" for a few weeks now and figured it was time to show them off, while they were still in stores. ;) This will be one of those rare posts where I refrain from writing novels about each colors because they are all the same. Formula was a little thin; but otherwise good, they had an average dry time; like most textures seem too, and as you can see are just a plain texture color with no sparkle. Personally I prefer the sparkle in textures, like the JulieG Gum Drops, but I do like these too. :)
P.S. I didn't pick up the yellow or red from this collection, because in all honesty, they reminded me mustard and ketchup that had gone bad and I didn't think I would ever wear them! :P

Aqua Splash is a medium teal.
Purple Streak is a deep purple.
Shady Gray is a dark gray, much like concrete.
Spoiled in Fuchsia is a bright pink.

Milani polishes can be purchased in stores at retailers like Walgreens, CVS and Target and online through Milani. I purchased these at my local Walgreens for $3.99 each. Find Milani on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
