I'll keep this short and sweet since I've been running around all checking things off my to-do list. ;) Here are 3 new and fun polishes from Lacquerhead Polish!
Glow Out With Me is a classic bright yellow glow in the dark with gold flakies . It glows a yellowish green color. I used 3 coats with no top coat.
My pictures of this polish in normal lighting really don't do it justice. It's very radioactive looking! The gold flakes really add something unique and fun to this already nifty polish. ;) Formula was a tad thick but easy to work with and I had no problem with dry time. Now on to the fun glow photos!
I'm Different is a thermal changing pigment that goes bright pink when it's warm and deep purple in the cold. All nails are 4 coats with no top coat.
Before I get into this polish's review I wanted to make a quick disclaimer that not only applies to this polish, but all thermal polishes being sold through indie makers. The pigment used in these polishes will eventually degrade and not change anymore. So please keep that in mind when ordering any thermal changing polihes. It is also important that to delay this process you must keep the bottle out of direct sunlight.
Ok so now that I've gotten that out of the way on to I'm Different! I found it a bit streaky at 1 and 2 coats, but evened up nicely at 3 coats. The only reason I did 4 coats was to make sure it was all evened out for photos. Formula was a bit thicker, it had an average dry time and it also dries with a "rubber" finish. I didn't top coat it because I wasn't sure if that affected the change or not, as this is my first thermal polish. ;)Onto some thermal changing fun!
If you are wondering if I got the colors to temperatures mixed up, I didn't! I got a little ahead of myself and sat outside in the cold weather for a few minutes so I could take pictures of the purple. Well I guess I sat outside too long because my body didn't want to warm back up to show off the pink (or maybe I'm generally just a cold person, jury is still out on that ;) ) and had to resort to using a cup of warm water to show off the change. Nevertheless this polish is lots of fun! :)
You Glow Girl is a pink glow in the dark polish with scattered iridescent glitter. It glows a pink/orange. I used 3 coats with no top coat.
Like Glow Out With Me, the added glitters kick this polish into being more fun than it already is! It's a little on the sheer side, so you may want to use 3 thicker coats or 4 thin coats if you don't like seeing nail line. At 3 coats for me the nail line wasn't super obvious in person. Again like Glow Out With Me, it was a tad thick but also easy to work with and otherwise problem free. Random side note: how fun are the names of these polishes! :D Ok glow time!
