Lynnderella Green LEs

Hey everyone! Late as always! ;) October is Depression Awareness month (I know, I'm doing this on the last day of October >_<) and is normally associated with the color green. Julie from Wishes of a Blue-Eyed Girl asked Lynn to create a polish in honor of the cause and I decided to go a step further and post all the other green Lynns I have to swatch! :)
Grinchie Gobbler contains dark green holographic micro-glitter and an assortment of "veggie" glitters. Shown is 3 coats with top coat.
Love the Mother Love is a symphony of spring green glitters accented with white, pink, aqua and black in a translucent light green pink- and green-shimmered base. Here is 2 coats over 3 coats of Wet n Wild Frank is Mine.
Niçoise has a clear, gold-shimmery base with shredded mesclun, hard boiled egg, black olive, haricot vert, tomato, sweet pepper, potato, red onion and holographic anchovy glitters. All nails are 2 coats of Niçoise over 2 coats of Revlon Lime Basil (FYI this Revlon is a huge stainer! D: ).
Popeye and Olive has matte and metallic moss green glitters accented with pimento red hexagons in a clear base with an overlay of pale olive micro glitter. Shown is 2 coats over 2 coats of Glitter Gal Lights as a Feather.
She Sleeps with the Starfishes is made with blue and green micro-glitter and scattered turquoise, cyan and green shapes in a cyan-shimmered base. All nails are 3 coats with top coat. These photos show 3 coats over bare nail. Side note: I know this is totally green, like the other polishes in this post, but it was green-leaning so I went with it. ;)
The Mindful Heart is made with assorted green glitters (holographic, matte, satin) in a clear base. All nails are 2 coats over 2 coats of Color Mates Tokyo Magic.

L’Oréal Paris Magic Nude Review

A little bit of a random post before my swatch post for tonight. ;)

Press Sample

L’Oréal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder Makeup: This revolutionary liquid-powder formula glides on and transforms on contact to a fresh, powder-like finish for a look that’s flawless, yet undetectable. The lightweight foundation with SPF 18 will make you feel like you aren’t wearing makeup at all!

The good:
  • Blends quickly by going from liquid to powdery finish as you apply it
  • Easy to apply; recommended to not apply with a brush, but instead your fingers
  • Lasted around 6 hours on my skin
  • Nice glass bottle
  • Contains SPF 18
  • Easily found at retailers like Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc.
The bad:
  • A little pricey for drugstore makeup; retail price is $12.99
  • While the bottle itself is nice, I wasn't in love with how you had to dispense the product; having to pour it out each time
  • You must remember to shake it well before each use of the product comes out a separated mess. I kept forgetting this and ended up pouring out unusable product
  • Very light coverage
  • Made any dry spots look much worse and settled into fine lines and pores
I really wanted to love this foundation because there are a lot of people raving about it, but it was just not for me. If you have perfect skin, I think this would be great for you! Sadly, I do not and hated how it made my dry spots look worse. L'Oreal Nude Magic is really something I wouldn't recommend if you get any dry patches during the winter time.

L’Oréal Paris Magic Nude retails for approximately $12.95 for 1 fl oz. It is available in 12 shades and is available at mass food and drug retailers nationwide. Find L’Oréal Paris on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram

Polished by KPT Nightcrawler & Siren's Song

Sorry for the very late post! I'm still trying to catch up, but this cold (or whatever sickness) is really kicking my butt and not wanting me to! >_<  In keeping with my fall/Halloween theme, I have 2 polishes from Polished by KPT's Fall 2013 line to share with you tonight! :)
Nightcrawler is a duochrome thermal that is purple/red (when cold) and shimmery blurple clear (when warm). All nails are 3 coats with top coat.
LOVE this color! I was very eager to grab this polish on Polished by KPT's last restock and so happy I was able to snag it! :D It was unintentional that my index and pinky nails changed while my middle and ring nails didn't. I figured it showed off both ways well and went with it! :P
Siren's Song is a holographic teal thermal polish (when warm) that transitions to a transparent holographic (when cold) and is filled with matte blue, purple, and green glitters. Shown is 2 coats with top coat.
Another awesome thermal! I tried to get my nails to match the same change as Nightcrawler, but was a little unsuccessful. >_< Hopefully you all get the idea though! ;)
Unfortunately it looks like Nightcrawler is sold out in Polished by KPT's BigCartel store. :( You can still grab Siren's Song though! :) Internationally you can find Polished by KPT through Beauty So Fly (Singapore based),  Rainbow Connection (UK based) and Harlow & Co (Canadian based). Philly Loves Lacquer Awareness Polishes Reviews & Swatches

Happy Monday everyone! Today I'm veering a little a little off course from posting Halloween polishes, to post a few awareness polishes Philly Loves Lacquer offers. :)

Fight On for Breast Cancer is a lightly tinted pink jelly base with a mix of pink glitters of various sizes and shapes. Shown is 2 coats over 3 coats Enchanted Polish September 2013.
Esther created this polish to honor her grandmother who battled with breast cancer in the 90's, and subsequently passed away from it. Formula of this polish was great and it contained a lot of fun shapes to make it great over any color! :) There were skull glitters included in the polish, but personally I felt a little odd about using skulls in a polish that was for a cancer awareness polish so I opted to not use them.
Keep Calm for Neuroblastoma has a sparkly teal jelly base and is mixed with matte teal hearts, holo hearts, turquoise dots, matte white dots, and other turquoise glitters in various sizes. All nails are 1 coat of Keep Calm for Neuroblastoma over 3 coats of Revlon Ginger Melon.
Again another wonderful formula! I love how it's like a holo topper with added glitters to make it even more exciting! :) I personally did not know much about neuroblastoma before this polish and think it's great Esther is help creating awareness! :) You can find more about neuroblastoma in the Etsy listing.
Roll On for Ataxia Awareness has a white crelly base with a mix of light blue hex, light blue hearts, matte turquoise hex (small and large), turquoise hearts and dots, aqua daisies, matte grey dots, and white micro bars. These photos are of 3 coats with top coat.
Yet again another wonderful formula that was easy to use and required no fishing for glitters. Also, it's another great polish that is helping bring awareness! I, again, was not aware of ataxia and loved reading that Esther teamed up with Midwest Lacquered Momma to create this polish! :)
These polishes are available now through Philly Loves Lacquer's Etsy store. 30% of each polish sale goes to the polish's cause, so grab some pretty polish and do a good deed! ;) Make sure to follow Philly Loves Lacquer on FacebookTwitterPinterest and Instagram!

Enchanted Polish Swatches Part 2

Dear world, can things please go back to normal?! The world thought it would be best to throw a crappy cough and sinus problem on top of everything going on in my life, because I wasn't behind enough with everything! I'm still trying to post any fall and/or Halloween polishes before next week though. I only meant to swatch a few Enchanted Polishes, but it ended up being all the ones I had sitting in the "to swatch" drawer. That was 2 days ago, before I felt like I was coughing up a lung. >_<

A Little Fishy Told Me is a light blue-green holographic polish with added blue flash. Shown is 3 coats with top coat. Note: my close up camera caught this with more green than it has in person, my bottle matches more these first 2 photos than the close up shots. ;)
August 2013 is a dusty blue holographic. All nails are 2 coats with top coat.
Autumn is a bronze to gold duo chrome with a holographic finish. Here is 3 coats with top coat.
Life in Plastic, It's Fantastic! contains neon pink glitters in various shapes and sizes in a clear base with pink shimmer. For these photos I layered 2 coats over 2 coats of August 2013.
September 2013 is a light pink holographic. All nails are 3 coats with top coat.
To Die For contains blue, charcoal and silver holographic glitters in a charcoal tinted base.  With the exception of my index nail which is 2 coats over bare nail, all nails are 1 coat of To Die For over 3 coats of Yesterday.
Vampires Suck is a deep brown holographic. Shown is 2 coats with top coat.
Yesterday is a burgundy to purple to gold multi-chrome with a holographic finish. These photos are 3 coats with top coat.
