LONDONTOWN KUR Review

Hi everyone! I am sick yet again, hooray! And to top it off my little one is sick, so that makes having to be sick so much easier. >_<  I have a few products LONDONTOWN sent me to try and after using them for a few weeks I'm ready to give you all my report on them! :)

P.S. The cuticle oil came to me full, I just really LOVE it! :P
KUR Protective Top Coat: Works to create a hard protective shield against damaging external elements. Made with essential vitamins and minerals to ensure a hardwearing finish that seals in crucial nutrients which protects and nourishes the nail. Provides quick drying time and an ultra glossy finish. Minimizes polish fading. Chip-resistant and UV-resistant. "5-free," does not contain the toxic chemicals. Vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free.

The good:
  • It dries quickly, but not as quickly as say Seche Vite. Still I didn't find myself waiting forever while it dried
  • Is perfect if you are vegan, have gluten restrictions or are looking for something 5 free
  • Works very well as a protective top coat! I wore this over a polish for the week that I moved and was amazed at the results! This picture is not the best in terms of lighting (I was still mid move when I took it and hadn't got my light box set up yet ;) ) or quality because it was with my phone, but I think you can tell it did a pretty good job of doing it's job! Remember this was my nails after a week and that week was filled with packing and unpacking. ;)
  • Very low odor
The bad:
  • It's a little on the thicker side, though I think that helped with doing it's "protecting" job :P
  • Like most products from LONDONTOWN, it's on the pricier side at $25. I can say it's worth every penny though!
KUR Restorative Nail Cream: Works to penetrate and replenish deteriorated nail protein (keratin) and balance the natural oils in the nail to strengthen and nourish them back to health. Created with Britain's rapeseed flower oil as well as a unique blend of natural extracts and vitamins to rejuvenate and restore moisture to dry, thin and brittle nails. Assists in restoring nails damaged by UV gel polish, acrylics and wraps. For best results, apply in the evening and wear Londontown's moisturizing gloves overnight. Vegan, paraben-free, gluten-free and cruelty-free.

The good:

  • Does exactly what it says it should! I am a habitual nail hardener user and it's caught up with me lately because my nails are too hard; they can break at the smallest thing. :/ Now though I finally have some bend instead of snap! :P
  • It smells great! It's not too overpowering but has a nice earthy scent, without smelling like a hippy. Haha
  • The packaging doesn't feel cheap
  • Again great if you are looking for vegan or gluten free products.
  • Comes with a great pair of moisturizing gloves that help the product soak in over night
The bad:
  • I really can't think of anything that I would consider bad about this product. I know the price could be steep for some at $35 for the cream and gloves, but I really think they are worth it because of how much it helped my nails.

Kur Nourishing Cuticle Oil: Works to replenish the nail's natural oil balance while hydrating and moisturizing dry, raw, cracked skin at and around the cuticle area. Created with Britain's rapeseed flower oil, an essential source of nutrients, and a unique blend of natural extracts and vitamins to heal and nourish the cuticle and nail root. Assists in restoring nails damaged by UV gel polish, acrylics and wraps. Non-carcinogenic and non-toxic. Vegan, gluten-free and cruelty free.

The good:
  • Once again perfect for those who are vegan or gluten intolerant
  • Has a great smell
  • Absorbs quickly into your cuticles
  • Has a nice "soft" feeling. I don't think any cuticle oils I've used have felt so soft before. Some can be thick or sticky, this one is perfect and rather dreamy! ;)
  • Comes with a standard brush in the bottle and also comes with a dropper, so you can choose how you want to apply it
The bad:
  • Again the price could be considered a "bad" point. Yet again though I think it's worth it!
  • This is probably a "me" thing, so you may want to take it with a grain of salt. :P I prefer the brush to apply cuticle oil with and found myself not reading labels and almost mixing it up with the top coat bottle. Luckily every time I went to apply top coat to my cuticles I caught myself before I did it! :P
