Happy Friday! I hope you have some weekend plans. :) I don't think we will be doing too much, just cleaning up more outside. We are almost done getting rid of all the leaves (I swear they are reproducing while we sleep) and then after that I have some DIY projects planned that I hope work out as good as I have them in my head. :P
Today I am super excited to share Doctor Lacquer's recent collection Coholorful Traits! This collection is made up of thermal holographic polishes. How awesome is that!
To save you on a lot of reading, I will say now all photos are 3 coats with top coat and in the order of warm, transition and cold. I'll leave my thoughts at the bottom of the post because I bet you are eager to see these beauties! ;)
Malicious Pleasure is cotton candy pink (when warm) to salmon pink (when cold)thermal linear holographic.
Mysterious Love is a pink (when warm) to purple (when cold) thermal linear holographic.
Natural Flirt is a mauve (when warm) to taupe (when cold) thermal linear holographic.
Optimistic Youth is a pale chartreuse (when warm) to burnt orange (when cold) thermal linear holographic.
Royal Luxury is a dusty Carolina blue (when warm) to a dusty purple (when cold) thermal linear holographic.
True Compassion is a light cornflower (when warm) to cobalt blue (when cold) thermal linear holographic.
I didn't have a problem with consistency or dry time with any of these polishes. Natural Flirt, Optimistic Youth and Royal Luxury did have some problem with pigment clumps. They were only visible at one stage of the thermal change, some more obvious than others. Angelyn, the creator of Doctor Lacquer, does note that this is because thermal pigments have a lower dispersion and that some of the pigment will disperse after applying. Nevertheless these polishes are amazing! ;)
